Certificates for quality and safety
IFA Technology offers certified solutions in plant engineering that fulfill high safety, environmental and quality standards and ensure competitive advantages.

Plant engineering at IFA Technology is based on technical expertise and precise craftsmanship. Adherence to the highest safety and quality standards is of central importance. IFA Technology follows international certifications and guidelines. As a provider of industrial plants, we offer reliable, safe and environmentally friendly solutions. The following is an overview of the most important certifications and their advantages.
In plant engineering, the Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control (TA-Luft) are a central regulation that contributes to the reduction of air pollutants and represents an important part of German environmental law. At IFA Technology, we ensure that all our plants do not exceed the specified emission limits and comply with the state of the art. This means that we use the best available techniques (BAT) to minimize emissions and protect air quality.
VDI 2290 in connection with the Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control (TA-Luft): Another important component in relation to the TA-Luft is VDI 2290, which particularly regulates the tightness of pipelines and flange connections.
Documentation and verification: We create comprehensive documentation to verify compliance with the Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control (German TA-Luft). This includes technical drawings and specifications, leak tests and verification procedures (calculated proofs, test reports, dispersion calculations).
Advantages for you as a customer:
Safety is the top priority in modern plant construction. Two central concepts play a crucial role in ensuring this: the Safety Integrity Level (SIL) and the Performance Level (PL). These standards evaluate the reliability of safety-related systems and components and can be applied by IFA in accordance with customer requirements.
By consistently applying SIL and PL, we ensure that your systems meet the highest safety requirements. This helps to minimize risks, ensure the safety of employees and protect the environment. IFA ensures that all safety-related components and systems meet the required SIL or PL standards to enable safe and efficient operation.
SIL (Safety Integrity Level): Defined in the IEC 61508 standard, the SIL describes the reliability of safety-related systems. The SIL levels range from SIL 1 (least safety) to SIL 4 (highest safety). A higher SIL value means a lower probability of a dangerous failure.
PL (Performance Level): ISO 13849-1 defines the PL, which assesses the ability of safety-related control components to perform a safety function under foreseeable conditions. The PL levels range from a (lowest safety) to e (highest safety) and take into account both qualitative and quantitative safety aspects.
Your added value with SIL and PL:
Validity: European Union
ATEX certification ensures the safety of equipment and systems operated in potentially explosive atmospheres within the European Union. It comprises two main directives:
By complying with these directives, we ensure that our systems meet the highest safety standards, avoid business interruptions and strengthen our customers' trust.
Valid in: over 30 countries worldwide, including Australia, Brazil, China, South Africa, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Canada, Japan and South Korea.
The IECEx system is an internationally recognized certification for equipment and systems used in potentially explosive atmospheres. It is based on the strict safety standards of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and is recognized worldwide, including in countries such as Australia, Brazil, China, Canada, Japan, South Korea and many more. This international recognition facilitates global trade and ensures that our products and systems meet the highest safety standards worldwide
IECEx certification not only boosts the confidence of our customers and partners, but also reduces the risk of explosions, thereby minimizing potential operational disruptions and damage.
Validity: USA, Canada
For the North American market, we meet the requirements of the National Electrical Code (NEC) of the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), which defines the safety standards for explosion-prone areas in the USA and Canada.
Particularly important are NEC Articles 500 and 505, which classify hazardous locations and define the required safety measures. The classification of areas into Class I, Class II, Class III and the zoning according to NEC 505 help to determine the appropriate safety measures for each level of hazard.
The construction of pressure equipment requires the highest safety standards. IFA Technology manufactures pressure equipment according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 2014/68/EU) and the ASME standard. These certificates guarantee that pressure equipment meets the highest safety standards.
Validity: EU
The EU Pressure Equipment Directive sets out the requirements for the design, manufacture and conformity assessment of pressure equipment. Our products meet the strict requirements of the PED, which are confirmed by comprehensive testing and certification. This guarantees that our pressure equipment can be used safely and reliably in all EU member states.
Validity: International
The ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code is the leading set of regulations for pressure equipment in the USA and many other international markets. Our pressure equipment, manufactured according to the ASME standard, carries, depending on the requirement, the official ASME stamp mark, which confirms its compliance with the high safety requirements of the ASME code.
Your added value:
Validity: USA
For steel construction and railing construction in the United States, compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations is essential. These regulations set strict safety standards to protect the health and safety of workers and to prevent accidents. We ensure that all our products and systems in the field of steel construction and railing construction meet OSHA requirements. This not only guarantees the legal compliance of our solutions, but also maximum safety for everyone on site.
Your benefits in steel construction and railing construction according to OSHA:
Validity: Germany/Europe
DIN EN 1090 defines binding requirements for the design, production and assembly of steel and aluminum structures. This standard ensures the highest quality and safety of products intended for use in the European Union. IFA Technology is certified according to the execution class EXC 2. This certification guarantees that all relevant components such as railings, steel structures, steel platforms and stairs meet the strict requirements of DIN EN 1090.
Significance & application:
Your benefits:
Validity: International
This standard defines the quality requirements for welded components and constructions and ensures that all welding work meets the highest international standards. The certification refers to the assurance and improvement of the quality of welding processes and products and guarantees consistently high quality in all welding work.
